A Message From Our President
I feel compelled to give my opinion about things that seem to be out-of-whack with our American society:
Our politicians need to vote and act in a manner that is best for the citizens of the United States of America--and not just along party lines.
Our social habits have warped into an individual and independent concern for 'self.'
Families are overloaded with 'things to do.'
I remember when we were more of a family unit. Back in the day, most stores were closed on Sunday. So, families visited friends and relatives, sat down at the dinner table (without cellphones), and talked.
A lot of our cellphone photos, texts, music, video games, movies, social internet sites, and reality shows are out-of-control. I'm not suggesting that we end the aforementioned, but we need to encourage those that control or supply such to do so with higher social standards. How we do that? I don't know, but when younger and older folks put inappropriate pictures or texts into the cloud of information, where have our standards and ethics gone?
I understand the free speech aspects; I just think we need to 'huddle' as a society and readdress some of our standards and ethics... Enough said.
On another note, there are many Vets joining (or trying to join) the marketplace every day. They need our help finding jobs that will help them afford to live productive civilian lives. Veterans bring a position of loyalty, dependability, and structure, as well as many other traits that are not necessarily found in schools or civilian life. Please reach out and hire a Vet--you won't be disappointed.
